Way to Wadala Station...!

Aug 31 2006 7:10pm

U know, next day i had flight to go home for Ganesh Chathurthi.... i went to Dadar & bought sweets from D.Damodar shop... At that time, I was in BKC office, not familiar with Dadar & south sides except for Matunga, and didn’t had courage to get into train from Dadar to Kurla back with sweets..... Also I was in hurry to reach flat early, didn't want to visit any other place and waste my time.

NO Taxi was ready to come to Wadala as it was near from TT. u know, i don’t like to walk with anything in hand, that too i didn't had any snacks from office.... so i asked some elderly person standing there "Ho to go to Wadala Station?" He showed me the way. Then i asked him whether i get any taxi to there? He became so disturbed and poured angry words on me, like he's an elderly relative of mine, "You have very good health, why can't you walk for five min.... why you need Taxi? u won't get any taxi... go...go..(it sounded like an order to me)" I was so surprised why he's behaving like to me...! And felt that if i stay there for more, he would blast me.... So i started to walk to Wadala station, asking people way to station...

As i walked 5min, i saw the whole road is illuminated as people are having celebrations... u can see only Ganesh murthi and hear prayers everywhere....

I reached the junction of a temple.... Heavy traffic and people were floating... i was in very hunger and tired... I asked way to station to traffic police(afraid to ask to others), who was busy in controlling the people & traffic...

He show me the way. As i thanked him and started to walk, he put his hand on my shoulder and told me "... visit the temple and go, it will take 2 minutes only for you....!!..." I don't know why but i obeyed him, and stood in the heavy queue. It was Ram Temple, opp side was Hanuman Temple.

As i just came-out, somebody smiled at me and asked "whether you had Ganeshji's darshan? He's very Powerful.." I asked, 'is it far-away..?' He replied "U don't know. Its just behind the temple. Go and stand in the queue.."(as if he was affectionately forcing me)

Once again i obeyed some stranger's words and somehow managed to stand in queue,.... People pushed me inside the hall..... I stood still for a sec... I saw Ganeshji' murthi and didn't know what to do... He was right - Murthi was so great that i forgot myself, i forgot my hunger, tiredness.... My mind got changed, i went to balcony of Hall and had very good Darshan and sat in a chair for 5-10min..

One GrandMom, around 65-68 year old, was sitting next to me... She said something in Kongini/Tulu to me... I said politely "I don’t get you".

But she continued in her-own language. I somehow understood that she is asking about me and replied accordingly in Hindi that how i reached there and I have to go to Wadala station... She smiled, and through the sign-language explained me that its GSB's temple and about Murthi.... Also ordered me with smile "Don't go without having Annadana-Prasadam... Go and stand in left side queue now.."

I went down and stood in the queue. I thought it would be prasad distribution.

Again I got surprised once i entered the temporary hall.... It was "Sadya" with Payasam....!!!! My eyes become wet....!! Still i don't have words to explain...

As i was walked-out from there i looked at watch & smiled - it was 8.10pm, but my mind was so calm and walked my Way to Wadala Station without any hurry....

"i don't know why i didn't go back via Kurla?

i don't know why that Elderly man ordered me to walk?

i don't know why busy Police man changed my way?

i don't know why Stranger in the temple smiled at me routed me to Ganesh Murthi?

i don't know why Grand Mom talked to me and how i understood Her language?

i don't know why the whole dramma happened?

But I know one thing : even if it is fraction of time or Lifetime - GOD, you know, Only you know what needs to be done with your kids... Whatever You do has meaning, sometimes we realize it late, please forgive us..GOD, YOU ARE GREAT......!!!!!!..."
